YAKIMA, WA — A 26-year-old Yakima woman struck by an SUV on Monday was listed in critical condition as of Tuesday, according to Yakima Herald.

Yakima police and witness accounts say Carollee Boss was walking north on North 40th Avenue and crossing Tieton Drive when the incident occurred.

The SUV was traveling east along Tieton Drive and about to turn right onto North 40th Avenue. The driver of the SUV was paying attention to traffic but apparently did not see Boss, according to police.

Following the event, Boss was rushed to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. She has now been relocated to Harborview Medical Center.
