KENMORE, WA – One person was killed and another critically injured following a single-vehicle crash in Kenmore on Sunday evening.

According to the Bothell-Kenmore Reporter, the accident took place at about 5:34 p.m. within the 6100 block of Northeast Bothell Way, near the intersection with 61st Avenue Northeast.

Firefighters say the vehicle veered off the south side of the roadway and became entangled in the guardrail as well as roadside trees and brush. Both the driver and passenger were pinned inside the vehicle.

Once the occupants were extricated from the vehicle, they were both rushed to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. The driver was pronounced dead a short time later. The current condition of the passenger remains unclear at this time.
