BOTHELL, WA — A suspected drunk driver crashed into a WSDOT truck in Bothell Wednesday morning, seriously injuring both drivers, according to KOMO News.
Troopers and medics rushed to the scene at around 10 a.m., arriving in the northbound lanes of I-405 just south of State Route 527.
Both the suspected driver and the WSDOT driver were reported to be in serious condition and taken to Harborview Medical Center.
The WSDOT truck was initially there in response to an earlier I-405 collision. Officials also said that this was not the first time this same WSDOT driver has been hurt in a work-related crash.
The driver at fault will face arrest and investigation for DUI following release from the hospital, as reported by the Washington State Patrol.
