BONNEY LAKE, WA – Two people were injured in a hit-and-run crash stemming from case of road-rage in the Bonney Lake area on Tuesday morning, KOMO News reports.

Emergency responders received reports of a collision in the area of State Route 410 and Myers Road East at about 10:35 a.m. yesterday. They arrived to find a wrecked vehicle in a ditch near a downed power pole. A second vehicle had apparently been involved, but had already left the scene.

Two individuals in the damaged vehicle were taken to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Initial investigations suggest that both vehicles had been traveling west with the victims’ vehicle in front of the suspect’s vehicle. The victims’ vehicle braked suddenly, angering the other driver, who whipped around the first vehicle and braked violently in return. The driver of the first vehicle slammed on the brakes to avoid a collision, causing it to swerve into the power pole and then overturn in a nearby ditch.

The other driver fled the scene without stopping, and had not been found by the time the report was posted online.
