TACOMA, WA. –  A semi-truck driver was killed when the brakes on his vehicle failed, causing the truck to roll over. The crash occurred on Waller Road near Pioneer Way in Pierce County at around 8:00 a.m. on Monday.

According to KOMO News, the 45-year-old driver was able to successfully steer the vehicle down the hill and through a busy intersection without hitting any other vehicles. He steered the truck into a nearby warehouse parking lot, where the truck hit several trailers and rolled over. The cab of the semi-truck was crushed, and the driver did not survive his injuries.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the crash, and we will continue to monitor this story for any updates.
