News: Squamish tribal leader killed after being hit by a car

SEATTLE, WA- A Suquamish tribal elder was killed after being involved in a car accident on April 6, according to Kitsap Daily News.

74-year-old Nancy McPherson and her husband Donald, 78, collided with a vehicle while headed southbound on Suquamish Way near The House of Awakened Culture.

Both McPherson and her husband were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she died. 

Her  husband survived the crash, but he is in serious condition. 

The other driver, an 81-year-old man is cooperating with the investigation.
