ROY, WA – A man was transported to the hospital following a three-vehicle crash on WA-702 last week.

According to Nisqually Valley News, the accident occurred on April 21st shortly after 3:20 p.m. near the intersection with Allen Road.

Troopers with the Washington State Patrol say the driver of a 2018 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van stopped in the eastbound lanes as another vehicle pulled into a driveway. A construction vehicle did not see the stopped Mercedes and swerved out of its path.

The construction vehicle then collided head-on with an oncoming Chevrolet pickup truck and struck the Mercedes in the process.

The driver of the pickup, 64-year-old Woody J. Madsen, was transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. The other two drivers were uninjured.
