TACOMA, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to an injury collision at I-5 and S 56th Street late yesterday evening.

WSP District 1 PIO Trooper Robert Reyer says that a driver lost control of their vehicle on the off-ramp from I-5 northbound onto eastbound S 56th Street. The vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree. The motorist was unconscious when state troopers arrived on the scene, but was revived and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

No updates on that person’s condition are available at this time, and they have not been publicly identified. We will update this blog if we learn more.
