News: 26-year-old motorcyclist killed in University Place crash

TACOMA, WA – A motorcyclist was killed as the result of a multi-vehicle collision in University Place Saturday evening.

According to the Tacoma News-Tribune, the accident took place at about 7:40 p.m. as the motorcyclist was traveling north on Bridgeport Way West.

Witnesses told police the unidentified man on the motorcycle was struck by an SUV that had turned onto Bridgeport Way from 67th Avenue. He was rushed to Tacoma General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash. It is unclear if the driver of the SUV will face any charges at this time.
