News: 93-year-old Toppenish man passes away from injuries suffered in late February crash

TOPPENISH, WA – According to the Yakima Herald, a 93-year-old man who suffered serious injuries in a late February crash on Interstate 97 in Toppenish has passed away.

The elderly victim was identified as Billy D. Stobaugh, a resident of Toppenish. The report stated the accident occurred on Feb. 25, when he failed to yield to a semi-truck, which hit his Mercury Sable near the Rocky Ford Road intersection.

The impact forced his vehicle to then collide with a Ford Edge.

Stobaugh was rushed to Harborview Medical Center, where he remained until he passed away on Tuesday, March 9.
