EVERETT, WA – Troopers with the Washington State Patrol responded to the scene of a head-on crash on Interstate 5 in Everett that left two motorists injured on Tuesday morning.
According to a series of tweets from Trooper Rocky Oliphant, the collision occurred in the northbound lanes of I-5 near 41st street around 9:42 a.m.

Four lanes of the roadway were shut down following the crash. Oliphant stated the accident was caused by a driver traveling the wrong way on I-5 North.
Four lanes are now closed, I am headed to the scene now. I am told this was the result of a wrong way driver on I-5

The wrong way driver was seriously injured after colliding with another vehicle head-on. Another motorist suffered minor injuries.
