SNOQUALMIE PASS, WA – Several crashes and the threat of avalanches led to an extensive closure of Interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass on Monday evening.
According to a tweet from the Washington State Department of Transportation, the closure affected both directions from mile marker 35 in North Bend to mile marker 106 near Ellensburg.
UPDATE: I-90 is now closed in both directions from MP 35 near North Bend to 106 near Ellensburg due to multiple collisions and avalanche danger. No ETA at this time.

It was not immediately clear when the roadway would be reopened.
