SEATTLE, WA – Seattle firefighters rescued a motorist who was pinned in their vehicle following a traffic collision on the 800 Block of Pine St in downtown Seattle on Tuesday morning.
The Seattle Fire Department tweeted about the incident at 6:46 a.m., urging drivers to take alternate routes while crews responded.
Crews are responding to a vehicle collision with one person trapped near the 800 Block of Pine St. please avoid the area @SDOTtraffic

The trapped motorist was successfully extricated before being transported to a nearby hospital. Another motorist was also injured and taken to a hospital for treatment.
800 Block of Pine St: Occupant was safely extricated. An additional patient was treated on scene and both were transported to a hospital for further medical evaluation.
