News: Firefighters extricate motorist after crash in downtown Seattle

SEATTLE, WA – Seattle firefighters rescued a motorist who was pinned in their vehicle following a traffic collision on the 800 Block of Pine St in downtown Seattle on Tuesday morning.

The Seattle Fire Department tweeted about the incident at 6:46 a.m., urging drivers to take alternate routes while crews responded.

The trapped motorist was successfully extricated before being transported to a nearby hospital. Another motorist was also injured and taken to a hospital for treatment.

Authorities have not provided further details about the cause of the collision or extent of injuries. We will update this blog should more details become public.
