by | Jan 5, 2021 | Accidents in the News |

SEATTLE, WA – The man police believe is responsible for a fatal hit-and-run collision on Montlake Boulevard is being held on a $100,000 bond, KOMO reports.

This is an update to a previous blog post.

Authorities allege that 18-year-old Kyle S. Dickinson hit a pedestrian at the intersection of Montlake Boulevard E and E Shelby Street at about 1 a.m. Friday. Police arrived on the scene to find a bystander performing CPR on the victim, and a white Mercedes-Benz abandoned nearby. Paramedics pronounced the unidentified 23-year-old dead at the scene.

Police traced the heavily damaged SUV to Dickinson’s parents, who called their son and helped bring him into custody. Dickenson appeared “droopy” and disheveled, and smelled of alcohol. Police took him into custody; it is unclear if he has been released on bail.

The incident marks the Seattle Police Department’s first homicide investigation of the new year.
