News: Officer taken to hospital after patrol car struck in Renton

RENTON, WA – A Renton officer was injured after a vehicle slammed into their patrol car on Sunday, reports KIRO 7.

According to officials, the crash occurred around 3:55 a.m. at the intersection of Main Avenue South and South 2nd Street.

Police say the officer was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover.

A passenger in the vehicle that struck the patrol car remained at the scene, while the driver fled from the crash on foot. Despite attempts to track the suspect with a K-9 unit, police have not yet located the driver.
