SPOKANE, WA – Authorities say a driver was arrested after an auto-pedestrian accident killed the woman he was dating on Sunday, reports Fox 28 Spokane.

According to Spokane Police, the pedestrian collision occurred near the intersection of North Cincinnati Street and East Olympic Avenue around 5 p.m. on Jan. 10th.

Police and fire crews attempted to stabilize the woman’s condition but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

When investigators spoke with the driver who stayed at the scene, they determined he was intoxicated and arrested him on charges of vehicular homicide. The man was reportedly dating the woman who was struck and killed.

The circumstances of the collision are still under investigation. Authorities urge anyone with knowledge on the incident to call Crime Check at 456-2233.

This is a developing story.
