TACOMA, WA – A 73-year-old man suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian hit-and-run collision in Tacoma last Thursday, according to the Tacoma Police Department’s official twitter page.
The collision occurred near the intersection of South 48th Street and South Orchard sometime before 5:40 p.m. The intersection was closed to all traffic and the man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Tacoma Police provided an update at 7:21 p.m. that the roadway had been cleared.

At this time, it is unclear what caused the accident or whether the driver has been located.
