CAMANO, WA – One person was killed and two teenagers were injured in a single-vehicle accident on the southeastern side of Camano Island on Saturday.

Stanwood Camano News reports that a 2004 Toyota Camry traveling north on East Camano Drive ran off the right side of the roadway close to S Hartman Place and crashed into a power pole, knocking out electricity to more than 300 homes across the Country Club area.

The driver, 20-year-old Isaiah Eschete, was killed in the collision. Washington State Police believe he had been driving too fast for conditions and lost control of his vehicle.

Two 17-year-old passengers were taken to medical centers on the mainland for treatment, one with life-threatening injuries and the other with serious injuries. Their current conditions are not known.

If you’ve been injured because of someone else’s unsafe driving, you could be owed significant compensation — compensation that the Seattle car accident lawyers of Dubin Law Group can help you get.
