News: Two dead in seven-car collision on SR 167

PACIFIC, WA – Two people are dead following a seven-vehicle crash on State Route 167 on Dec. 1.

KVAL reported that a pickup was driving south in the northbound lanes of SR 167 at South 180th around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night. The truck continued for 12 more miles before crashing into a motorcyclist at Ellingson Road.

The pickup then hit a dump truck and caught fire. The driver of the pickup and the motorcyclist were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident when first responders arrived. The identity of the deceased drivers has not been released.

The dump truck driver did not sustain any injuries. The drivers of the remaining vehicles were not injured and only hit debris from the accident while traveling northbound on the road.
