News: Worker struck, killed by vehicle while cleaning oil spill

OLYMPIA, WA – A worker was struck by a vehicle and killed Wednesday while he was cleaning an oil spill southwest of Olympia, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Littlerock Road and 93rd Avenue, where an employee with a private company had placed warning cones and was cleaning up an oil spill. An unspecified vehicle hit the man, killing him. The driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with police.

It is unclear at this time whether any charges will be filed.
