SEATTLE, WA – One man was taken into custody after he allegedly crashed a stolen vehicle into a King County Metro bus in South Seattle Monday night.

According to KIRO, the accident occurred at about 10 a.m. when officers attempted to pull the man over for driving without headlights on. A chase ensued when the officer realized the vehicle had been stolen and the driver refused to stop.

A short time later, the driver collided with a bus near the intersection of Rainier Avenue South and South Dearborn Street. The 39-year-old then exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot, but was caught and arrested.

One passenger in the vehicle sustained minor injuries in the crash. The bus driver, who was the only occupant at the time, was uninjured.

The suspect was taken to the King County Jail on a number of charges including possession of a stolen vehicle and eluding police.
