News: Rescue crews pull 2 people from Tacoma embankment crash

TACOMA, WA – Fire officials in Tacoma pulled two individuals from a car that had careened into a roadside embankment Sunday night.

According to KIRO, the accident occurred near Fort Nisqually at Point Defiance Park shortly before midnight. Police believe the driver of the vehicle lost control and crashed through a guardrail before dropping about 50 feet into the embankment.

Firefighters used a rope to pull both occupants from the ditch. Neither was injured as a result of the crash. Investigations were ongoing as of early this morning.
