Protester struck by car in West Precinct

SEATTLE, WA – Officials with the Seattle Police are investigating an incident in which a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle during a protest in front of West Precinct Tuesday night.

According to KIRO, the incident was reported before 11 p.m. in the area of Virginia Street and 8th Avenue where a protest outside of Seattle Police’s West Precinct was occurring. No one in the area was injured as a result of the incident.

The driver sped away from the scene but was located a short time later. No word on if any charges will be filed against that individual has been released at this time.
