SEATTLE, WA – The driver of a Toyota Camry crashed into a Chinese restaurant near Pioneer Square and injured seven people on Thursday afternoon.

The Seattle Police Department tweeted about the crash at Dim Sum King restaurant, located at 617 S Jackson Street, at 2:19 p.m. yesterday, and later tweeted the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) report with additional details.

Seven people were injured in the crash, all of whom were transported to Harborview Medical Center. Two of the injured people sustained life-threatening injuries. All other injuries were minor.

The driver was apparently attempting to park on South Jackson Street when they accelerated in reverse and backed into the building. While the front of the building was damaged, it appears there was no structural damage.
