KIRKLAND, WA – A collision temporarily blocked all lanes of northbound I-405 on Wednesday afternoon.
Washington State Department of Transportation first tweeted about the accident around 4:45 p.m. and posted it occurred at NE 70th Place. Initially they reported traffic was getting through in the left general purpose lane; however, a few minutes later they tweeted all traffic was fully blocked. Traffic was able to get by in the express toll lanes soon after.
It is unclear what caused the crash or if anyone was injured. From the videos posted by WSDOT it appears as if at least two vehicles were involved in the crash. One was sideways across multiple lanes.
