LYNNWOOD, WA – Two vehicles were damaged Sunday morning when debris fell off a pickup truck on northbound I-5 .
According to KIRO 7 News, the incident occurred just north of 164th Street on northbound I-5 at around 6:30 a.m., when a large piece of metal debris fell from a pickup truck and struck a Hyundai Elantra and an Infinity QX4.
The Washington State Patrol said the truck did not initially stop but may have pulled onto the interstate’s shoulder sometime later. They are asking for anyone with dashboard cameras to review their footage from between 6:20 and 6:45 a.m. that morning and contact them with any relevant information.
When someone fails to secure their load to their pickup truck, they are putting others at risk. When they fail to stop after causing damage to other vehicles, they increase the risk of someone not getting the medical care they need.
