TACOMA, WA – Troopers with the Washington State Highway Patrol have reported a single fatality as the result of a motorcycle vs. semi collision Friday morning.
According to the official Twitter page of the WHP, the accident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-5 near the exit to Maytown Road just south of Tumwater.
Sadly we have Troopers on scene of a motorcycle and semi fatal collision. Occurred at 10:24, North I-5 @ Maytown Rd south of Tumwater. Some traffic is getting by in the left lane, others are being rerouted via the Maytown exit. Please be patient while Troopers investigate.

Troopers at the scene say the motorcyclist, a 29-year-old Olympia man, skidded on a substance on the road before colliding with the trailer being pulled by the semi. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
