FEDERAL WAY, WA – A motorcyclist is recovering in the hospital after being seriously injured in a collision on 21st Avenue late Thursday afternoon.
According to the Federal Way Mirror, the accident occurred at about 3:51 p.m. near the intersection of 21st Avenue Southwest and Southwest Campus Drive.
Officials at the scene say the 30-year-old man riding the motorcycle was struck by a vehicle driven by an 81-year-old woman when she failed to yield to his right of way near the Safeway grocery store.
Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. No charges have been filed against the woman involved in the accident as of Friday night.
