Fatal rear-end collision reported in Royal City

ROYAL CITY, WA – Officials with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office have reported a single fatality as the result of a rear-end collision Monday night.

According to KXLY, the accident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. near the State Route 26 and State Route 262 interchange. Deputies at the scene believe the driver ran a stop sign and collided with the rear of another vehicle.

The driver, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of family members, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. No other injuries were reported.
