News: Woman dies after DUI suspect crashes into Marysville house

MARYSVILLE, WA – A 97-year-old woman was killed when a suspected DUI driver crashed into her house early Saturday morning.

According to King 5, the driver hit and critically injured a bicyclist before slamming into the Marysville house in the 8400 block of 55th Avenue at around 2 a.m.

The bicyclist is listed in critical condition. He lost both legs, has extensive internal injuries, and will potentially have permanent brain damage if he survives.

King 5 reports that the driver has at least 50 convictions since 1995, including two DUI convictions. At the time of the accident, he was driving with a suspended license and was on probation after recent jail time for federal drug and weapons charges.
