SEATTLE, WA – A 59-year-old runner suffered serious injuries after a car struck him early Saturday morning.

According to KIRO 7, the accident occurred in the 2400 block of Lake Washington Boulevard South around 7 a.m.

The injured runner was transported to Harborview Medical Center. It is unclear what caused the crash.
