News: Female passenger dies in motorcycle accident on Highway 20

WINTHROP, WA – A woman died after the motorcycle on which she was a passenger collided with a vehicle on Highway 20 Sunday night.

According to local reporting, the accident occurred when the 2007 Yamaha XV1900 motorcycle attempted to pass a 2002 Acura on Eastbound Highway 20 around 7:15 p.m.

The motorcycle was driven by Devin Harris, 35, who was injured and airlifted to Central Washington Hospital. His passenger, Megan Harris, was killed in the crash.

Brandon Kindred,the 25-year-old driver of the Acura, was not injured.

Washington State Patrol officers report that the accident was caused by the motorcycle following too closely.
