SPANAWAY, WA – A four-vehicle collision on State Route 7 Wednesday afternoon killed one motorist.
According to local news reports, the fatal crash happened on State Route 7 near 205th St Ct E at around 3:30 p.m.
The driver of a Chevrolet Cobalt was traveling north on SR 7 when he crossed over the center lane and hit a Chevrolet Tahoe. Both cars spun out and hit two other vehicles.
The collision killed the driver of the Cobalt. No other serious injuries were reported.
It is unknown at this time what caused the driver to swerve into the southbound lanes.
Local authorities shut down all northbound lanes and one southbound lane of SR 7 to investigate. They reopened all lanes about two and a half hours later.
