News: DUI suspect hits toy Jeep injuring two young children

KENT, WA – A DUI suspect hit a toy Jeep near Covington on Tuesday evening, injuring two young children who were riding in it.

According to Kiro7, the accident happened in the 19800 block of Southeast 281st Street around 7:15 p.m.

King County Sheriff’s Office tweeted that the DUI suspect initially fled the scene, but was arrested about a half mile down the road.

The two injured children were three and five years old. Both were transported to Harborview Medical Center. The three year old is in serious condition in the ICU, and the five year old is being treating for non-life threatening injuries.

It is unclear at this time what charges the driver will face.
