In April and August 2011, Eric Yi was involved in successive motor vehicle accidents. In the first incident he was stopped for traffic and was rear-ended. While he was receiving treatment for his injuries, he was injured again when a spare tire fell off the back of an ambulance and struck his car, causing him to lose control and strike a concrete barrier.
Although neither accident was Eric’s fault, the two insurance companies were blaming each other for Eric’s injuries, and he didn’t know what to do.
