Washington drivers may not always realize just how dangerous driving can be. People tend to just think about driving as just another mode of transportation. Since it is done so frequently, people can forget the dangers that lurk on the roadways. In particular, people may not realize how dangerous negligent drivers can be. A driver that is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, a driver that ignores driving rules or a driver that is busy on the person’s phone can cause serious damage in a matter of seconds.

Police are currently investigating an accident that killed three people and injured two others on Highway 20 nearly Sedro-Woolley, Washington. While the exact details about why the accident occurred are unknown, police claim that alcohol was found in one of the cars. As a result of the cars’ impact, the cars sustained heavy damage. Police found one car over turned in the ditch. Victims had to be extricated from the cars and flown to hospitals in Seattle.

Serious car accidents, like this one, serve as reminders of how quickly a normal activity can turn deadly. Police will continue to investigate this accident to determine how it occurred. This investigation will determine if the driver of one of the cars was negligent in causing this fatal car accident.

Families of fatal car accident victims will likely bet interested to know how and why the accident occurred. However, even with this knowledge their family members will never be returned to them. In these cases, serious financial strain can be piled onto the family. From funeral costs, to lost wages and medical expenses, fatal car accidents can be expensive for families. Families should remember that a wrongful death suit can help to alleviate these costs.
