On Behalf of | Dec 2, 2011 | Fatal Motor Vehicle Accidents |

Drivers expect that the roads they travel on will be safe, but when the reckless actions of another results in the death and injury of others, victims and families want to know what happened and who is responsible. The loss of a loved one in such a senseless, tragic manner is always heart-wrenching. Such is the case of a fatal car accident that left one dead and six others injured.

The accident took place last month. The victim was a 50-year-old man who died a few days after the accident at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The State Patrol report that the deceased was a passenger in a 1997 Mazda that crossed the center line and struck a 2004 Audi that was being driven by a 23-year-old man from Toppenish. The driver of the Audi was taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. His condition was last reported as stable. The others who were injured in the accident were treated and released. Police report that intoxicants were involved in the accident. The car accident remains under investigation and charges are pending.

While all of the facts in this case are yet to come out one thing is certain, there is one person dead and several others injured. Whether or not this accident resulted in a wrongful death has yet to be determined.

For those injured in accidents such as this, consultation with a Seattle area personal injury lawyer may be the best first step to take. An attorney may be able to get the answers that families cannot get on their own and may also be able to provide guidance as to how the family can proceed.
