News: 42-year-old woman killed in wrong-way crash on Canyon Rd.

TACOMA, TA – A woman was killed following a wrong-way collision involving a semi-truck in Tacoma last Thursday afternoon.

According to the Tacoma News-Tribune, the accident occurred on April 8th at about 12:19 p.m. as a 42-year-old woman was traveling north in the southbound lanes of Canyon Rd. East near the intersection with 122nd Street Court East.

The woman’s vehicle collided with an oncoming semi-truck. She was the sole occupant at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear if the truck driver sustained any injuries in the crash.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending further investigation into the fatal crash.
