Construction Is Starting Again!

The Dubin Law Group is very excited to be moving into a new office on N. 85th Street in Greenwood this summer. However, with the “stay at home” order, construction was halted on March 23 with no end in sight. Fortunately, this morning Governor Inslee announced that in partnership with the construction industry and union leaders he has agreed to let construction resume immediately, with certain specific safety measures in place.

Workers will be required to maintain a 6-foot distance, and will be required to wear masks and other appropriate PPE. But they will be allowed to work.This is great news for us, because it means we are still on track to be in our new office before the end of June. It is even better news for all of the construction workers across the State of Washington who have been out of work since late March.

As the economy slowly reopens, it is in everyone’s best interest that we all continue to take reasonable precautions, including maintaining social distancing and wearing masks when appropriate. However, the harm to our economy caused by the shutdown cannot be overstated, and it will take time to get everything back to normal.

As we all return to work in the coming weeks, there will be more traffic, and likely more accidents. We hope nobody reading this gets injured on the job or on the roads, but if you do, please give us a call.
