No Fee Unless We Win Your Case

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, but it also increases the risk of pedestrian injuries. As the father of a 6-year-old, I am very aware of the safety issues around Halloween, and I wanted to share a few tips with you:
1. If you can, find an area designated for Halloween activities. My family likes to visit downtown Edmonds. The city closes the streets to traffic, and all the stores participate with trick-or-treating. There’s a live band and its always fun – even in the rain.
2. If your kids are trick-or-treating in the neighborhood, make sure the go in groups. No kid should be out by himself on Halloween. Even with a group there should be at least one adult present to make sure everything goes smoothly.
3. Take extra care when crossing the streets. It is dark and wet and cars aren’t always paying attention. This year Halloween falls on a Saturday, so it is more likely there will be drunk or impaired drivers on the road. Take a little more time than usual before crossing, and make sure you look both ways.
Following these simple tips can help make sure everyone has a happy and safe Halloween.
