May the force (of law) be with you

star wars 3.jpgA long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…

You were in a car accident. Perhaps you were rear-ended by a careless driver. Perhaps a speeder made an illegal left turn across your path. Perhaps you were a pedestrian in the crosswalk who got hit by an out of control X-Wing fighter. Regardless of how it happened, you got hurt and it wasn’t your fault. There was a great disturbance in the force.

After your accident you realized you were injured, and your first priority was seeking the medical treatment you needed. You went to the emergency room to get checked out, and you followed-up with your primary care doctor. Then you started a course of chiropractic or physical therapy. Perhaps you were referred to a spine specialist or a neurologist. Either way, you made the sensible choice to treat your injuries, and hopefully you are on the road to recovery under the care of experienced Jedi doctors.

You also realized that you probably have a personal injury claim and that you would need to deal with the Evil Empire of insurance companies. You contacted your own auto insurance to arrange for payment of your medical bills under your personal injury protection (PIP) coverage. If you didn’t have PIP, your bills might be getting paid by your health insurance. You may have also reached out to the insurance company for the driver who hit you.

Thumbnail image for star wars 2.jpgAt first it seemed like everything was going well. Your insurance was paying your medical bills, and the other guy’s insurance seemed really friendly. They took your recorded statement, and they assured you they’d take care of everything. The agents of the dark side can be very persuasive.

Now, a few months later, things don’t seem so great. Your insurance has put a Darth Vader-like stranglehold on your medical payments because they don’t think your treatment is reasonable. They are requiring you to attend an examination by their doctor, and you are worried how it will go. The other guy’s insurance keeps calling you and pressuring you to end your treatment and accept a small settlement or they will close your claim like the Death Star destroying Alderaan.

In short, you feel like the agents of the Empire have blasters pointed at your back, and you don’t know what to do.

Fortunately, an experienced Jedi attorney isn’t afraid to take on the Evil Empire of insurance companies. We will make sure the insurance companies do what they’re required to do. If you do have to attend an examination, we’ll make sure it’s done right, and that your rights are protected. If the other guy’s insurance threatens to close your case, we’ll let them. We know we can always file a lawsuit and force them to reopen it.

star wars.jpgWe will use “the force” of the law to protect you and your rights so you can focus your energy on healing and returning your life to normal. We will establish a deflector shield around you and your family so the Death Star of the insurance company can’t get to you or your claim, and we will give you peace of mind.

As Jedi Master Yoda said: “Fear is the path to the dark side… fear leads to anger… anger leads to hate… hate leads to suffering.” A good Jedi personal injury lawyer will help you manage your fear, so that you can get better, get your life back to normal, and get the outcome you deserve.

May the Force (of law) be with you…
