Let’s help those affected by brain injury

BIA.jpgSome of the most devastating injuries we see are brain injuries. Even “mild” brain injuries can completely disrupt a person’s life, making even the most simple task seem impossible. And because brain injuries aren’t apparent to the casual observer, many of our clients suffering from brain injury are accused of being “complainers” or “malingerers.”

There are several organizations working to provide education regarding brain injury and support for those affected by it. One of the best is the Brain Injury Alliance of Washington. The BIAWA envisions a world where brain injury is prevented, and every person already affected by its impact benefits from resources that maximize his or her quality of life. Its members work tirelessly to increase public awareness, support and hope for those affected by brain injury through education, assistance, and advocacy. Learn more about the Brain Injury Alliance of Washington on thier website.

We know first hand the impact a brain injury can have on a person and his family, and that is why we are thrilled to support the Brain Injury Alliance of Washington. We are proud to announce that a representative of the BIAWA will be at our book launch party next week, and that 50% of all book sales at the event will be donated to the BIAWA.

Please join us next Wednesday at the Hotel Monaco for our book launch party. We have Patrick Snow, an internationally bestselling author and motivational speaker as the MC. There will be free chair massage throughout the party provided by Monroe Therapeutic Massage. There will be free hors d’oeuvres. There will be a raffle with amazing prizes donated by our sponsors. The whole event is completely free and open to the public. And now, you can help support an amazing cause just by buying a book.Flyer_revised.jpg
