Driver killed in head-on accident near Snohomish, Washington

Drivers need to be in complete control over their vehicles at all times -- day or night. Many accidents occur simply because drivers take their mind or eyes off the road for a few seconds. Simple tasks like texting, eating, chatting or reaching for something can all become deadly if done behind the wheel of a moving car or truck.

Recently near Snohomish, Washington one driver was killed in a fatal car accident. In this case, police say that a pickup truck crossed the center line on Highway 2 at around 5:00 a.m. The pickup truck hit a car head-on as a result. The driver of that car was killed on the scene. According to reports, police continue to investigate the accident. They do believe that heavy frost was on the ground at the time making the roadways slippery.

Fatal car accidents, like this one, effect Washington families in so many different ways. There is the emotional pain for the family. They must learn to go one with life after the loss of a loved one. However, there are also serious financial concerns. Since the fatal accident victim is no longer alive, that person can no longer provide income for the family. There may also be medical expenses from before the person died -- as doctors, nurses and first responders tried to save the person. Funeral expenses can also add up. With all these extra costs and lack of income, families of fatal accident victims can be in real financial trouble.

A wrongful death suit is one way the family can try to avoid these expenses. Through a wrongful death suit, a family can be compensated for the actions of a negligent driver. A driver that was texting, chatting, drunk or otherwise negligent can be held financially responsible. This money can allow families to focus on their emotional healing instead of the bills that are piling up following an accident.
